The Ballet of Catalunya empowers Shakespeare's heroine, a unique performance that fuses fashion, dance and electronic music with lights

Two classical dancers at the ballet of Catalonia

The Ballet de Catalunya production, directed by García, embodies this vision with choreography that mixes neoclassical and contemporary elements, including the special integration of the cane dance, a distinctive Catalan folkloric element that symbolizes Julieta's fight for autonomy and against social limitations. Ramón Ivars' set design plays a fundamental role, adding visual depth and symbolizing Julieta's potential to transcend and emancipate herself.

“Vertiginous, cinematic, current and with an overwhelming choral work”
