About the event
The Ugly Duckling is the latest creation for family audiences by the company NS danza, a troupe currently rooted in central Catalonia and founded in 2005 by the multifaceted creator, writer, and choreographer Núria Serra.
The Ugly Duckling is a small-scale dance production performed by two dancers, directed by Arnau Lobo, with choreography by Núria Serra. The piece takes its title from the well-known tale The Ugly Duckling, written by the Danish poet Hans Christian Andersen, who became famous for his original children’s stories. Among his most celebrated works are The Little Mermaid and The Emperor’s New Clothes. In 2025, the 220th anniversary of his birth is celebrated, and with this stage adaptation, NS danza aims to pay tribute to this great writer of children’s literature.
