A unique performance that fuses fashion, dance and electronic music with lights
Fashion and performing arts, fashion and dance go hand in hand in Merina, a show created, directed and produced by the Spanish firm OTEYZA with choreography by Antonio Najarro, music by Tagore González and the incredible costumes created by the firm itself. A totally innovative show that goes beyond the classic canon of Spanish dance.
His commitment and passion for tailoring has led OTEYZA to enter the performing world to share with us, through the language of dance and music, the craft and progression of Spanish textile creation from origin to production. highest avant-garde. The choreographic pieces by Najarro, the music by González, the costumes by OTEYZA, and an impeccable scenic art by Príamo Estudio transport us to the origin, birth of merino wool, and surround and accompany us throughout the process in which the craftsmanship is transforms into art. The dream piece becomes a reality and advances through time, from the fashion hegemony of the 16th century, with its two legendary dyes, Iberian black and red that recently arrived from the new world, to current high-avant-garde pieces.
Nominated for six MAX Awards in the category of best dance show, best production, best musical composition, best choreography, best set design and video scene and best costumes.

“A very elaborate hybridization of languages that included music, performance and video art with truly spectacular scenery and lighting design”
